BrainLoop’s raison d’etre is to revolutionize the current education system. Our main objective is to equip our students with the learning skills that will help them not just in their exams, but throughout their lives.

We believe education should be more than just knowledge manipulation and test scores. It is inevitably and ultimately about the formation of character and the skills you have acquired that will help you through life.

Education is not about creating winners or losers our focus is to keep the students happy and create a conducive environment that will help them enjoy the process of learning itself. 

At BrainLoop we move away from the practice of learning for exams because such a practice doesn’t drive-up standards they just drive-up stress.

Hence, we at BrainLoop prepare our children for life. We equip our students with better learning techniques and tools, something that they fail to get from the current system of education. These techniques and tools help make the learning process fun and easy to comprehend, and most importantly it teaches them “how to” rather than “what to” learn.

OUR MISSION

BrainLoop hopes to evolve as a study centre that implements systematic and intelligent pedagogy quite different to what we are generally used to. To evolve the conscious human experience. We strongly believe that children are the promise of the future. And to ensure a promising future, one should make sure that the present is conducive to pave way for the best outcomes.Our mission is to give our children the best tools and techniques to discover the true meaning of learning.  To collect cutting-edge techniques, methods and perspectives that will help enhance cognition and then integrate all of this into our current context of learning. To help children develop a self-understanding that gives them direction. To give them clarity and allow them to navigate the supposedly difficult course and choose paths that are maximally rewarding.

OUR VISION

The Internet has changed life faster than we could have ever imagined. Today, information is available at our fingertips, in abundance, from the knowledge economy, we have around us. The information that inundates our electronic devices can sometimes cause more pain than gain. As these walls of knowledge and information fall,BrainLoop's vision is to create true intellects. We hope to equip young minds with the right techniques and tools to help them tap into this vast knowledge resource. Thus, making way for effective learning.    As part of our vision, we are currently in the process of integrating the most effective learning techniques and methodology into the everyday teaching process.  To accomplish this, over the past three years, we have been consistently working towards developing an exceptional pedagogical system called the Lunar Method. This method breaks down teaching into six stages and seamlessly integrates techniques as a part of the child's learning process. Also, a major part of effective learning is to be able to contextualize the self and be aware of the purpose of learning. This is where BrainLoop introduces 21st-century Wisdom.  In the Wisdom classes, students are encouraged to contemplate deep questions like, what their purpose in life is, how to find the truth regarding things, what it means to be happy and the reason for pain, how to get to know oneself and much more. It is a class that is unique and sets the students on the path of self-discovery.

OUR NAME

When it came to naming their brainchild, the founders of BrainLoop had no doubts about what it should represent. It is their keen interest in the self-referential nature of the self and loopiness of reality, that paved way for the name BrainLoop.
The logo that showcases a moon, is symbolic of the end goal of collective enlightenment. 

KEY PHILOSOPHY

Our key philosophy is to create a stress-free environment for the students to learn. To pave the way for a systematic and intelligent mode of education focussing on mindful/active learning where there is the active participation of the students and teachers than mindless or rote learning.

OUR USP

Apart from redefining the pedagogy, our centre offers an ideal student-teacher ratio that fosters a great relationship between the faculty and the students. Students can spend any number of hours at the centre, studying, and clearing doubts. The faculty is always available to clarify any doubts the students may have. We also provide great learning techniques and tools that help the students positively. Apart from the regular classes, the students are also provided Wisdom Classes where they are provided with a platform to discover themselves and help create an awareness of who they want to be. In these classes, the students are taken on a journey of self-discovery.

FUTURE PLAN

In the next few years, BrainLoop plans to expand across South India in collaboration with Vidyakendra and Kalyankendra. We want to bring about a reformation in the education system not just in Kerala but across India. We want these new techniques and tools to be made accessible to all students.

OUR FOUNDERS

Athif M. Arshad

An architect and a philomath, he is one of the founder directors of BrainLoop Initiatives. An alumnus of RV Institute Bangalore, he is passionate about setting architectural revolutions in motion. But his true calling is education or rather revolutionising the current education system.
Apart from running and managing his brainchild BrainLoop, he is also very much a part of his family-run upper primary school in Calicut called Vidya Kendra.

At BrainLoop, in addition to his role as a centre head, he dons the role of a teacher. He handles the much-loved session, Wisdom Classes. In these classes, he deep dives into the meaning of life, and how to view it, and helps children with career counselling and the like.

His interest in helping students find a direction stems from Athif’s deep interest in the life lessons he has gained and the wisdom that was imparted by his own ancestors and the luminaries of history. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Philosophy.

Ever since his childhood, he has had only one vision, to ameliorate the prevailing education system.
He believes the system produces individuals who are forced to follow orders than those who enjoy and benefit from the learning. Such a system, he believes, leaves no room for life and its wisdom.
So Athif’s philosophy is to pressingly work towards making sure the next generation of students are true intellectuals, emotionally mature and spiritually rich. Only then can humanity find coherence.

Harikrishnan P. Ravi

Harikrishnan, a graduate in Physics and a knowledge enthusiast, is a UPSC aspirant. At BrainLoop, he dons the hat of the centre head and a teacher.

He is someone who realised early on that only through education can social changes be brought about and not through the bureaucracy.
An open-minded and free-spirited person, Harikrishnan strives to learn new things. A creative being in the true sense of the word, he has the innate skill to combine ideas uniquely. He leaves no stone unturned to explore the scope of a new idea.
It would not be wrong to say that he is on a quest to make the world a better place one aspect at a time.

Science and Cosmology mesmerize him and he derives his high from deep-diving into the world of the Big Bangs, observational astronomy, particle physics etc.
Through BrainLoop he hopes to bring about a significant social change that will be reflected through his students, the citizens of tomorrow.

OUR STORY

BrainLoop is an initiative launched by Athif M. Arshad and Harikrishanan P. Ravi, two childhood friends, who in spite of going their separate ways came back together to work on a common cause.
Athif, who is now an architect was always disquieted with the prevailing educational system. Since his school days, he always felt what he was learning didn’t mean anything or help towards the interests he had.
Even during his school days, it had become quite clear to him that he had to bring about some change in the unproductive and bleak pedagogy, if not for his sake, for the sake of coming generations. For, he felt there was no point in taking the same meaningless path that did not help the students in the right manner.
Finally, his entry into the architectural college gave him a new ray of hope. He was impressed with the pedagogy followed there.
In search of the contrast between enjoying learning and dreading it, Athif finally found liberation when he figured out that to enjoy learning, there must be a union of the “what” and the “how” of learning.
On the other hand, Hari was on a journey to complete his bachelor’s degree in physics to become a civil servant. During his time in Delhi, amid his fellow aspirants, he found an imperative difference between those who found success and those who just wasted their years. The noteworthy difference was that those who attained success did so by using various effective learning techniques which helped them immensely whereas the others failed to implement similar techniques. Hari knew that this was the requisite key element to attain success.
By a stroke of luck, Athif and Hari crossed paths again after a long gap. Both started deliberating on how they could make a difference in the prevailing educational system; which is when the idea of establishing BrainLoop struck them.
